au where everything is black and white until you meet your soulmate

ADDITIONALLY: when your soulmate dies, the world goes back to black and white

THAT’S HORRIBLE i love it

No but can you imagine having a normal day at work or running errands but then everything suddenly goes black and white.

But imagine the moment when you meet a stranger and your world turns to color!

y’all should probably spend some time reading this

Oh my god this was supposed to be about books but it’s actually about my relationship with my parents I was unprepared for these feels

yep yep yep this

"The hot insistence on labeling YA as “trashy” and not fit for adult reading isn’t just about a visceral hatred of genre fiction. It’s also a form of denial from older adults who don’t want to engage with the issues faced by Millennials. If the validity of experiences underlying the desire to read YA can be eliminated, then older adults can feel less responsible for what they did to the generations that followed them"

Read the whole thing. Seriously.

That awkward moment when a friend-ship starts to feel like a bad relationship.. And you realize that you don’t want to put up with shit anymore. I’m done. Peace out, Girl Scout.

I don’t really consider myself very country until I really think about it. I fish, hunt, swim, ski, ride kayaks and four-wheelers for fun. My family could only get dial up internet at my old house but out neighbors could get high speed (the cut off was at our house) . I grew up around a bar (my cousins owned it). I’m buying myself a truck. My school has “tractor day” where they drive their tractors to school. And to be honest, I really like country music…

So I’ve been working at my job for almost a year. I just found out today that a person comes in once a month to give massages….

Reblog if you are a woman who is offended by the lyrics in Blurred Lines

carryonstarkid:

I will be writing a sociological research paper about the effects of the lyrics in Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines.

Please reblog this if you are a female who finds the lyrics of this song offensive or upsetting.

The equal post for men can be found here and for nonbinary/genderqueer here.

I hate when I tell myself I don’t like someone, but when I see them I get butterflies and I can’t stop thinking about them.

So when I tell people that I’m buying a truck soon the normal reaction is “really, I can’t see you driving a truck!?” But when I told my younger cousin the news she said “I can’t see you driving a truck, but I can see you driving a nice van”…

So I guess my blog is 2 years old now….

When people have a heart attack, they go to the hospital, the money part is put aside because life is more important.

When people get sick, they go to the doctor, the money part is put aside because health is more important.

When people get a bad cavity, they go to a dentist, the money part is put aside because having no pain is more important.

So my question is:
How come when someone is suffering from suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, or mental illness in general, why are we hesitant to take them to therapists? Why do we make the excuses that “there isn’t enough money”…
